The crossover, worked by the groundframe on the left, still sees occasional use. It is sometimes used for single line working or to get an assisting loco on the front of a failed train. It is quite often used in possessions to cross engineering trains over. The frame is released by Saltley PSB.

ReplyDeleteThanx for that. I had an idea it could be used for what you suggest, but I would never of imagined that a release is required from Saltley!
