46233 the 'Duchess of Sutherland' steams through Sutton Park this morning running on time with her express charter, and with diesel 47832 hanging off the back. Quite a turnout at Streetly for this move!

Colas Rail

Class 323 and a Charter Express

These shots show a Class 323 EMU being towed by 47830 from Tyseley to Soho LMD on 28th September 2015, and 57301 tnt 57310 with an Alnmouth-bound charter train on 22nd August. The headboard carried by the Class 47 reads "Rail Operations Group".

Northern Belle

On Sunday 30th August the Northern Belle ran from Birmingham International to Leicester and back, top-and-tailed by DRS Class 57's 57301 and 57305.

The outwards train 1Z57 is seen in the Blue Hole cutting at Aldridge.

...and the return 1Z58 at Streetly Gate in Sutton Park.

Return of the Welsh Marches

4965 'Rood Ashton Hall' is seen powering over the Sutton Park Line on Saturday evening with the returning Welsh Marches Express. Captured approaching Walmley and Aldridge. Thanks to Richard Coghlan for the first shot taken near Walmley.

A Northern Belle charter express from Birmingham International to Alnmouth passes through Daw End at 0645 this morning. Lead loco was 57301 with 57310 bringing up the rear.

Network Rail's 97303 seen running through Branton Hill on 18th August, light from Derby RTC to Shrewsbury.

Bridge 61 Repairs

Brickwork and pointing repairs being carried out at Middlemore Lane bridge 61 over the last two weeks. Road and rail remain open.
