A New Look for the Hardwick Crossing

Formerly known as Pig Farm Crossing and Roundabout Wood Crossing, Network Rail now prefer Lindarosa Road Foot Crossing for this site, but I think we'll stick to the better-known Hardwick (Wood) Crossing!

Chiltern Railway-liveried 68014 runs through the Park on the up on 28th July with engineers train 6Z96, the 1221 Crewe - Bescot - Toton service.

66721 + 66709 form 0M70 Peterborough - Longport on 4th August 2015.

60054 With Steel Empties

60054 hauls a long rake of empty steel 'pigsheds' for Immingham across the Park as 6E08 on 28th July 2015.

5Z44 FGW HST Stock

66054 brings a rake of empty First Great Western HST stock (and two barrier coaches) over the Park at 1545 on Saturday 25th July 2015. The coaches were running from Plymouth Laira to Kilmarnock for overhaul.

Railgrinder and Flask

37607 + 37259 head 6M56 Berkeley - Crewe CS flask train through the Park this afternoon, followed by a Speno Railgrinding machine running from Northampton to Walsall.

Plasser Theurer

An on-track machine seen returning to Bletchley from Bescot. This is a very late posting from 2012!! Plasser&Theurer DR77002. What a beauty !

HST Test Train

The 'flying banana' NR HST test train is seen returning to Derby on the Sutton Park line during the afternoon of 22nd July, and also flask train 6M63 with 37612 + 37610 Bridgwater - Crewe CS around the same time. Both captured by the camera of Richard Coghlan.

WCRC Charter

47786 'Roy Castle' heads a charter express past East View Rd during the morning of 22nd July, with 57316 bringing up the rear. The train was running from St Helens to Oxford (the return service ran via Stourbridge & Bescot). Again, thanks to Richard Coghlan for these shots.
