Final preparations

The embankment at the landslip site at Aldridge has now been restored as a shallower slope, and a mass of trees removed. Buckled track has been replaced and the line is expected to re-open at the end of this week...

mmm, not so sure myself . A shallower slope means a bigger surface area for rainfall. And with no trees
to knit the soil together that spells more regular mudslides ?

I am sure there has been enough rocks put in place to ensure that another slip doesnt occur. Unless a pair of 37s go storming past and start an avalanche.....
