A classic shot that ! Wonder if the train worked in over the Cannock or Park lines ? Incidentally 1984 was the Orwellian year when the South Staffs line closed between Walsall and Brownhills...
Just had my brother bellowing cos he is a big class 50 ned. Unfortunately for him, he has lost a lot of interest in the railway in his years working on there. So that cheered him up a bit! Not a shot that a 'normal' can get....

I've tried looking on t'internet for some info on this tour but can't find any.
The year after i finished . Never saw them through newton/walsall etc.. So i certainly didn't see this.
