Not long after after 37401 had passed through Streetly Woods with the returning Burton - Bescot steel carriers early Thursday afternoon, 40145 appeared from the Walsall direction hauling two "Slugs", 37901 + 37906, to the East Lancs railway.
An English Electric cavalcade of large-logo liveries !

Very fine shots. It was a great moment at Walsall station when these ran through platform 1 while 37401 was waiting across the road on the up fast.
4 EE locos at Walsall station, wonder when last last happened???
That must of been ace. We were hoping they were going to pass at Streetly but they didnt, but were not far apart! Superb.
